Pssst! I know you haven't heard from The Grey Witches in almost a year, and I hope you've missed us as much as we've missed you! I wanted to send a little note to say we will officially be creating content again in September!
I wanted to give you a sneak peek before going live in September and remind you a bit more about who the hell we are. The Grey Witches is a community for all those seeking more in their path, and whether that's light or dark magic, we practice all magic for the highest and greatest purpose. Lightworkers who walk in the shadows, who have seen the underbelly of life, and been to hell and back. We are the witches who protect our friends, our family, and our communities.
But who am I? My name is Kate Carrasco, and I've been practicing magic for almost a decade, and in my search for a community that I felt at home in, I couldn't find one because nothing totally aligned with my beliefs. Hence, The Grey Witches was born in 2018. I knew in my very being that people could channel and perform, what others called, dark magic to help our communities as a whole. That not everything was "love & light."
Why did we just go silent on almost all social platforms? Well, I had a baby! My husband, Michael, and I now have a beautiful 11-month-old girl named Juniper. And let me tell you, the transition to motherhood is a fucking dozy. Why didn't anyone warn me? From a pregnancy with constant mourning sickness to postpartum anxiety, there really should be more resources and care that are woman and mom forward. Juniper is an absolute blessing and a smart, perfect daughter - but damn. The transition from an independent, I do what I want, stubborn woman to motherhood was rough. So here I am! Warts and all.
Another thing I learned from motherhood? I am more confident to live as myself, practice magic the way I want, and walk my own path. It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but those of you who resonate with me, I'm so glad you're here. I want to move forward with those humans because you are my community. You are my coven.
On this journey, I've learned a lot, and I've grown. I think we all have and hopefully will continue to do so. I'd love for you to continue to grow with me on this path. I look forward to leading our community to thrive and learning alongside you.
One thing I've felt called to do for the longest time is to launch The Grey Witches coven. A place where those of us who never felt quite at home would have a place. A community to learn, discuss, do rituals together, and practice our craft alongside each other. This is, quite frankly, in the very beginning stages, but I know I've been called to put it out there.
